So how many of you watched the Superbowl just to try and catch a glimpse of Joshie in the Hulk preview???? I must admit that i didn't know what the Superbowl was until a couple of days ago!!! We play something like US football here but tougher as our guys don't wear all that padding!! Anyway how many of you who visit this website don't give a stuff about how the actual Hulk looks and just care about Josh's role in the movie??? Yep I thought so....
I really shouldn't diss the Hulk as Australia's very own Eric Bana is in the lead role. It's a bit strange seeing him as a big Hollywood star as I first saw him in a TV comedy program doing skits!!! (a yank version would be something like MAD TV). Oh well but they say Brad Pitt used to dress as a chicken for one of his first jobs!!!!

And an alternate name for "When strangers Appear" is -
"Shearers Breakfast"!!!!
For anyone who didn't know a shearer is an Australian term for a guy who shears the wool off sheep!!!

HELLO EVERYONE!!! I hope everybody had a happy Christmas and New years season full of love, life and laughter!!!!
Well what a year it was for Josh Lucas!!!! A little movie happened last year by the name of Sweet Home Alabama and what great things it did for Josh. Nothing against Reese Witherspoon or the other actors but a lot of people around the world considered Josh to be one of the best things about this movie and a lot of others suddenly sat up and took notice of this great actor and no wonder as he was superb in the role.
Next year is only going to get better for Josh's career as The Hulk is going to come out in June and I'm sure it's going to be huge. Josh has a pivotal role as the main character's arch nemesis and will have his own action figure!!!! I'm sure we're all going to love that as it's the closest we'll ever get to kissing Josh goodnight!!!! He He He!!!!!
A lot of you might realise that I submit News on a sporadic basis and I apologise but I do update this page at least once a week and all items sent to me are put on ASAP.

Everyone in the civilised world who's a fan of Josh should now know that he appears in the Sexy Men Issue of People magazine in the US and Who magazine in Australia as one of the newcomers.
Josh has been acting for 15 years so "Newcomer" seems a little strange but no matter as it's great to see Josh finally getting the recognition he deserves!!!
Josh has done lots of bit parts and a stint in the theatre which has honed his talents and given him the opportunity to play some interesting characters. He has slowly but surely built a stellar career and he's done the hard yards. His star is only going to rise and rise from here on.
And if anyone can tell us what the tattoo on his left forearm is you'll win uh.... a rubber chicken??? Perfect for parties??? How about the undying gratitude from a lot of his fans... (what do you mean you still want the chicken!!!)
Josh's BIRTHDAY has also now been CONFIRMED!!! I have added a link in the media to a Randi West radio interview where he declares in his own voice that his birthday is.... JUNE 20TH!!!
Thanks to Isabelle in Canada for sending that and for putting us all out of our misery!!! And I must say along with quite a few others that Josh's voice is one of the sexiest in Hollywood.

If Josh wins (which he may not exactly want to given his private nature) the good points are that it will be some great exposure for him and he'll probably get a spot in People magazine.

Sweet Home Alabama will be released on Video & DVD on Febuary 4th, 2003. And they have the prices listed as $29.99 DVD $22.99 VHS.

Secondhand Lions Take in Lucas Tuesday, November 5, 2002 1:47 CST
Josh Lucas (Sweet Home Alabama) will next star with an ensemble of actors in New Line Cinema's Secondhand Lions.
Lucas joins a cast that includes Michael Caine, Robert Duvall, Haley Joel Osment, Kyra Sedgwick and Nicky Katt in a comedy from director Tim McCanlies.
"Lions" is a coming-of-age story about a young boy forced to spend the summer with his two eccentric great-uncles, each of whom has a mysterious, dangerous past. Lucas will play the grown-up version of Osment's character.
"Lions" was written by McCanlies. Lucas also can be seen in the upcoming Universal comic book adaptation The Hulk and the Lions Gate drama Wonderland.
According to the press release from the studio, Josh is scheduled to be at the "8 Mile" premiere Wed,the 6th. I assume it's due to his affiliation with Brian Grazer and Imagine Studios, which produce the flick. (Jennifer Connelly is also scheduled to attend.) Pics should be up on Wireimage.com later on Wed. nite, and watch the entertainment shows Thursday for more info.

Hello all and welcome to the first entry of the Journal News.
Firstly I would like to thank everyone who has offered kind words and support either by e-mail or on posting boards. I started this site as I was surprised and dissatisfied by the lack of a website for this impressive actor and its fantastic to see so many people who feel the same way I do and are as happy as I am that we now have this site. My aim is to provide a quality, knowledgeable and accessible website for everyone to enjoy.
I will be updating this section regularly so if you have some newsworthy items relating to Josh please e-mail them to me and Ill make sure theyre put on this site ASAP. If you dont have e-mail or dont wish to e-mail me then you can put the item on the posting board as Ill be checking these regularly. I also will not be using gossip or untruths in this news area as Im sure its not what Josh would want. He has stated in the press recently that he does not wish for the trappings of fame so Im going to try to make this website as painless for him as possible and something that hed be happy to have. I believe its what a sincere fan should do.
In response to a query, I will not be adding a posting board to this site as there are three out there at the moment (see links) and I dont think we need another one just yet. If anyone has any queries or comments (good or bad) please e-mail them to me as this website is for all of you and I want to make it the best I can.

Josh Lucas Stars in First Big Film

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Josh Lucas says his life has changed nearly overnight since the movie "Sweet Home Alabama" was released in theaters.
"I've in three weeks gone from not a single person knowing who I am, to having trouble walking through New York City," Lucas said.
Lucas is used to supporting dramatic roles, so playing Jake in the romantic comedy was new territory for him. He said he doesn't even like watching comedies and worried that he didn't know how to be funny.
"So suddenly I'm in a position of being in a kind of movie I don't even like and I've seen maybe 10 of," said Lucas, who added that he prefers "very dark French movies."
The Arkansas-born actor said he forced himself to watch Comedy Central "on a 24-hour-a-day basis."
Now that he's recognized on the street, Lucas has given a lot of thought to stardom. He said he doesn't understand why people glorify performers and would rather people had admiration for those who are "really, really deeply working on social and economic challenges of the world."
"Sweet Home Alabama" earned an estimated $37.5 million over the weekend
